Visit by Mentor and Queen Silvia

The 14th of April the Mentor foundation visited Valhall Park, among the prominent guests were HM the Queen who is an honorary member and founder of the Mentor Foundation.

Mentor Foundation decided to relocate its board meeting in Valhall Park.

Present were, among others, Annika Falkengren CEO SEB, Mats Paulsson CEO Peab AB, Bertil Hult chairman EF to name a few of the board members. Lunch was aerved after the board meeting at Valhall Park Hotel and Conference, with special guests such as politicians from Ängelholm and Helsingborg.
Finally, the delegation visited Peab School, where guests and the press had to meet students and teachers from the school.

The event was very successful and we served a menu, which the Queen and other guests were very happy with.

Tartar of smoked and cured salmon, wild garlic and parsnips, shot of green pea and coarse mustard sauce.

Dragon fried corn chicken breast from Bjäre with Madeira gravy, grilled with asparagus and Swedish new potatoes.

Mentor
Mentor´s mission is to give young people the strength to stand against violence and drugs. We do this by strengthening self-esteem, confidence and motivation of young people and by providing support and education to parents. Mentor works preventively.

  • We give young people a mentor, an extra adult.
  • We give parents support in their parenting role through courses and seminars.
  • We work with schools where we give students inspiration and motivation to be in school and going out nine with passing grades.
  • We conduct our work in collaboration with the Swedish business community and adult volunteers from the public.
